Ph.D. degree candidates are invited to attend the Ph.D. Commencement and Hooding Ceremony.

The College of the Arts Master’s Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 10th in Student Center East at Georgia State University. Master’s Students must register with the university in advance to participate in the college’s Master’s Commencement Ceremony. To register, please visit commencement.gsu.edu.
Check-in begins in the Lobby of Student Center East. All graduates must check in no later than 1:15 in order to participate in the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, all participating faculty, graduates and their guests are invited to a reception to celebrate the occasion. No RSVP is required for the reception.
Dress Code for the COTA Master’s Commencement Ceremony
All graduates are encouraged to wear full graduation regalia (cap, gown and hood) for the ceremony. Alternatively, students may dress appropriately for a formal occasion. Caps and gowns should be ordered online at herffjones.com. For assistance regarding custom regalia, contact the Georgia State Bookstore at 404-413-9700 or at www.gsu.bkstr.com/.
Friends and family are invited to attend this ceremony. Seating for family and friends will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do I participate in the Master's Commencement Ceremony?

- Please note: registering to participate in this ceremony is not the same as applying to graduate. In addition to completing your application to graduate in PAWS, you must also register at the above link to notify the college that you will participate in the Master’s Commencement Ceremony.
