OUTSTANDING STAFF AWARD
ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA
To qualify for the Staff Award, the nominee must show:
-Excellence in the area of service to the university/college/school/office, i.e., serving on committees, staffing, special projects, organizing events, or University functions and other voluntary university activities.
-Daily interaction with fellow staff members, students, and/or faculty which demonstrates a willingness to work with others and assist whenever needed or requested.
-Promotes a positive and pleasant work environment.
-Displays exceptional dependability and accountability.
-Consistently performs high quality of work.
-Has demonstrated special efforts to promote diversity and inclusion.
-Creative and innovative approaches to processes which result in improved productivity or a savings in time and/or resources.
-Enhances the image of the College and/or department.
PROCESS
After an electronic nomination and self-nomination period, the Office of the Dean will contact all eligible nominees to ensure that they wish to be considered.
1. A Statement of support: Include supporting statements with specific examples that address the award criteria. Examples should consist of outcomes, results and activities that benefit the college, department and/or university.
2. For Self-Nominees: Include a statement of professional service, interests, and goals. This document should include a summary of service to the university/college/school/office; specific professional interests and goals. It should not exceed two typed, double-spaced pages.
3. Up to three letters of support from other COTA staff/faculty members should be readily available.
After the deadline for submission of these materials, a selection committee will meet to select the recipient of the award.
AWARD
The chosen recipient of the Outstanding Staff Award will receive $500 added onto their paycheck or made available as professional development funds provided by the Office of the Dean.
Nomination deadline is Nov. 21, 2022.
