Tony Mangle serves as the Director of Communications at the College of the Arts and brings to the leadership role a results-driven track record with a skillset that blends corporate, consumer and academic/university marketing experience.
Tony joined Georgia State University in 2014 at the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design, and managed the school’s public relations and marketing initiatives. His efforts increased brand awareness of Georgia State’s visual arts program throughout Atlanta and abroad by showcasing student, faculty and alumni exhibitions, as well as MFA exhibitions at Aqua Art Miami and the Visiting Artist & Scholar program. Key strategic marketing components included the website development for the School’s website, and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Tony has more than two decades of agency PR experience including account management, national product launches, media relations (national, regional and trade), media tours, special events, experiential marketing, sponsorships, business outreach and social media efforts, etc. Among the high-profile brand-building campaigns include Under Armour, Volkswagen, The North Face, Tropicana, and Keurig, among many others.
