Robbie Land
Senior Lecturer School of Film, Media & Theatre- Biography
Robbie Land works in a variety of mediums - specifically utilizing digital media with 16mm and 35mm film to produce experimental animation and live action films. He has worked on a variety of projects as cinematographer and sound engineer in both studio and field production, science documentaries, music videos, television commercials and feature films. This includes working with PBS, Good Machine Productions and The Kitchen in New York and The Florida Lightning Research Facility.
Robbie is an Artadia Fellow, recipient of New Forms Grant, Interbay Cinema Society Grant among others and serves as Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs Arts organization panelist.
Currently he experiments with various photo-based motion picture and sound methods for exhibition of film screenings, installations, performance, and photography.A selection of Robbie’s screenings includes Mono No Aware in New York; Kunst Film Biennale Cologne, Germany; Museum Do Chiado in Lisbon, Portugal; National Weather Center’s Biennale, Norman, OK; The International Experimental Cinema Exposition in Denver, Colorado; Scientifical Center Espace Mendès in Poitiers, France; Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia in Atlanta and continues to show at national and international venues.
