Neill Prewitt

Neill Prewitt is an American artist whose creative work is in video, sound, performance, participatory art, and installation. Neill has produced videos and installations that have been shown nationally including at 621 Gallery in Tallahassee FL, Lump in Raleigh NC, and Freedman Gallery at Albright College in Reading PA. Neill has performed and produced participatory art nationally including at the Amos Eno Gallery in Brooklyn NY, the OBX Art Truck in Elizabeth City NC, and Silent Barn in Brooklyn NY. With the collective Yuxtapongo, Neill has produced art for public spaces including public access TV as well as installations that have been shown at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University in Durham NC.

As Senior Lecturer in Foundations and the Foundations Coordinator, Neill’s teaching combines a disciplinary focus with interdisciplinary opportunities, exploring the necessity of drawing and other foundational skills and how they can be augmented through new media. He focuses on curriculum and Foundation Program development, including building a Foundation Digital Breakout Room, supporting Foundation teachers across all GSU campuses, and implementing the College-to-Career initiative in a project taught collaboratively with Dr. Victoria Rodrigo, Professor of World Languages & Cultures.
