- Biography
Jonathan Crutchfield has received degrees from Southern Wesleyan University (BA in piano performance); Florida State University (MM in choral conducting performance); and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (DMA in choral conducting). Dr. Crutchfield has served four University music faculties as Director, or Adjunct Director, of Choral Activities. He co-founded and directed the School of Fine Arts in Chattanooga (TN). Jonathan currently serves Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA as Organist/Choirmaster. He is a collaborative pianist at Georgia State University, and he serves as collaborative keyboardist for the Atlanta based professional choral ensemble, Coro Vocati.
Dr. Crutchfield has accompanied conductors, singers, and instrumentalists throughout the USA and abroad. He has accompanied choirs performing at the divisional and national levels of The American Choral Directors Association’s (ACDA) conventions. He has served as organist for music events in the US and abroad, most notably playing for a mass at the Vatican. His choirs have performed in Austria and the Czech Republic. He is a published composer.
