- Biography
Jayson Quearry was incubated in a stew of comics and film from an early age, emerging from the soup as a fully cooked manager of a local comic book store. He parlayed that nerdy admixture into a Ph.D. from the School of Film, Media & Theatre at Georgia State University in August 2021. His research interests focus on the intersections between cinema and comics in terms of aesthetics, adaptation, phenomenology, and intertextual narratives, most recently in his dissertation entitled “Universe Diving: Phenomenologically Feeling the ‘Universeness’ of DC and Marvel Comics.”
