Graduate Assistant Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design- Biography
Azin Yousefiani is a visual artist Originally from Iran, and MFA candidate at Georgia State University’s Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design. She received her MA degree in painting from Tehran University, Iran, in 2019 and her BA degree in painting from Guilan University, Iran in 2016. Her professional practices in visual arts combine different forms of arts and techniques such as drawing, painting, papermaking, printmaking, mixed media, collage, textile, digital design, etc. For the last few years, the procedures of creating her artworks included reproduction and manipulation different visual elements such as traditional Kurdish fabric patterns to challenge the reading of that regarding different concepts of social and individual identity
