Zuk (Ph.D. Candidate, School of Film, Media & Theatre) addresses the following topics: a visual design for pedagogical structure; accessibility in teaching moving images online; and her blended approach to the a/synchronous debate. She talks about using Word templates for implementing graphic design and information hierarchy, quick tips for accessibility (HTML/images, PDFs, and video), and combining the best of both worlds with a blended approach to instruction.

Jess Jones (Associate Professor of Textiles) discusses how she converted a lower-level, technique-intensive and materials-heavy class in mostly asynchronous format. Textiles classes, like many studio-based courses, are experiential- the student learns through doing. The class she discusses deals with a great deal of physical work, such as fabric/fiber analysis, sewing, and dye application. Prof. Jones talks about how she was able to successfully use online tools to motivate, oversee and evaluate students virtually.
