Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference
Georgia State University College of the Arts Educational Outreach is the Professional Development Administrator for the annual Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference held in Athens, GA. Educators & professionals attending the conference can register to receive a Certificate of Attendance containing 2 Professional Learning Units. Individuals may choose the conference sessions, concerts, or division meetings that are best suited to their interests and content area. Upon receiving the PLU Certification, teachers should turn their Professional Learning Unit Certificate to their district's Professional Development Office. Certificates certify the individual's participation in Professional Development for Music and can count toward licensure renewals. Each district and school system has individualized policies regarding Professional Development; please check with your school system on your requirements for Professional Development and licensure.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS
To receive a Certificate of Attendance for the GMEA In-Service Conference, each educator can register on-site during the Conference.

Pre-Registration Fee: $25
Check in at the Professional Development desk during the GMEA In-Service Conference
Professional Development Desk Hours:
Thursday from 9:00am – 3:00pm
Friday from 9:00am – 11:00am
Please note that the Professional Development desk is separate from the GMEA registration desk.
Receive your certificate by March 1
Certificates will be sent via email.
Submit your certificate to your district's Professional Development Office or Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA)
Make sure to keep a copy for your records.
On-Site Registration
2025 Registration Deadline - Friday, January 31, 11:00am
Registration must be received by 11:00am on Friday, January 31.
On-Site Registration Fee: $30
On-site payments accepted via cash, credit card or check

REPLACE LOST PLU CERTIFICATES
Replace your lost or missing PLU Certificates from previous GMEA In-Service Conferences.
Replacement Certificates
Lost or missing Professional Development Certificate or Professional Learning Unit Verification from previous Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference can be replaced.
Professional Development records are kept on file for five years from the date of the workshop or conference. There is a non-refundable processing fee for replacement documentation of $10.00 per certification requested.

Attendance Verification
Records will be reviewed to verify the individual's conference attendance at the requested year(s).
