The College of the Arts Office of Educational Outreach (OEO) presented the 2023 Southeastern Regional Concert Festival at Georgia State University. This year’s program attracted more than 1,000 middle and high school band students who took part in world-class offerings including master classes, featured concerts, and scheduled concert observations. Nationally renowned evaluators conducted clinics for each performing ensemble.
The following ensembles took part at the 2023 Southeastern Regional Concert Festival:
Hightower Trail Middle School 8th Grade Symphonic Band, Lakeside Middle School Symphonic Band, Louis Pizitz Middle School Symphonic Band, Mabry Middle School Symphonic Band, North Gwinnett Middle School 8th Grade Symphonic Band, Riverwatch Middle School Symphonic Band, South Forsyth Middle School Symphonic Band, Thompson Middle School, Symphonic Band, Allatoona High School, Symphonic Winds, Buford High School Wind Ensemble, Cass High School Wind Ensemble, Kennesaw Mountain High School Wind Symphony, Lambert High School Wind Ensemble, River Ridge High School Wind Ensemble and Valdosta High School Wind Symphony.
The Music For All Southeastern Regional Concert Festival is an affiliate of the Music For All National Festival. Sixteen middle and high school bands were selected to perform from an elite application process. The festival featured performances by the 16 selected ensembles and the Georgia State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
