School of Music Charlotte Dennison is a Class of 2023 Presidential Scholar studying Instrumental Music Education with a focus on cello and a minor in Neuroscience. An exemplary student, Charlotte is currently in the Undergraduate Brains and Behavior Summer Scholar program and was recently named the 2022-2023 Presser Scholar.
From Savannah, Georgia, Charlotte spent her childhood in Mukono, Uganda. Her research interests include music cognition and perception, music as medicine, ethnomusicology and many more. She loves reading, concerts and traveling in her free time.
Charlotte discusses her avid interest in music research, being a team member in the Music Cognition and Creativity Lab, playing the cello, as well as her award-winning presentations at the Georgia State University Research Conference (GSURC).
