Meet Some of Our Inspiring New Grads

On Friday, May 6, Danae Antoine, senior B.F.A. candidate in the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design, will officially be an alumna of Georgia State University and the first in her family to graduate with a secondary degree.

While Panther families prepare to celebrate the 2022 spring commencement candidates, one family, in particular, will be filled with twice the excitement and twice the anticipation. Meet Hani’el and Eden, aka the “Mastriani-Levi Twins.”

When artist Denequa “Cashay” Johnson walks across the stage to receive her bachelor of fine arts degree, she’ll cap off her Georgia State journey with creative clarity, awards and accolades, and a boost of confidence for her next chapter in the arts.

Soon to graduate with a B.F.A. in Interior Design, Kyle Vice has already built an impressive resume of accolades and recognition.

For Magda Dumitrescu, art is a way to express themself and be understood. “It’s a bridge of communication without linguistic boundaries,” they said. “I’ve thought about that a lot.”
